Full-Time Training - Testimonies

The Lord's Training, R.M.

I'm 23 years old and about to graduate from the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) in June 1999. I completed my undergraduate degree in a school in the Boston area graduating with a B.S. in both finance and operations and strategic management. After college, the Lord brought me to the FTTA. This is my story:

Coming from the East coast, I mainly only heard about the Training. I would ask both current trainees and graduates about their experiences of the Training, but the main focus of my inquiries was the physical aspect, i.e., getting up early, cleaning my house, the schedule, etc. The Training is so much more than this, though. I believe the Lord has taken me through, and continues to take me through an internal as well as an external training.

In my experience, the Lord has had a way to touch a very particular matter in my being which has led to a knowledge, both objectively and subjectively, of a fundamental and foundational matter in my Christian life. As I have studied salvation, justification, the blood of Jesus the Son of God, Christ as Righteousness, Christ as Passover, and God as love, I'm beginning to see the solid stand we have for our Christian life. I believe that these fundamental truths will serve as a solid base for the rest of my Christian life and will greatly increase and enrich my experience of Christ. I hope and believe that my Christian life will be an adventure. I am indebted to the Lord. Praise the Lord for the FTTA.
